This is a Como institution for good reason. Delicious fish and chips, and cheap! Friendly young staff without being hipster, just good quality food and service.
I’ve been coming here for years and won’t be stopping any time soon.

It is a pity — I really wanted to like this place more.
The interior is a lot more friendly and has more heart than other Fish and Chip places.
The prices were reasonable (6 Calamari rings at $ 5 and traditional 1 serve of fish and chips around $ 11).
The chips were a bit small and the fish were not as crunchy as wished. We asked for salt and vinegar but didn’t recieve either.
Not too sure if it wasn’t a great night for them or just not my style but hopefully it was just an off-​night.

Ok I’m gona put it out there… I think this is the BEST fish and chips in Perth!
It’s so hard to find a good fish and chip shop that’s not just a bucket of oil wrapped up in butcher paper. Not only is the fish fantastic but the chips are so frreakkinnnn good!
I ordered the grilled fish a few weeks ago which was some of the best fish I’ve tasted, SO fresh, seasoned with herbs and lemon mmmmm tasty.
This isn’t some sold out commercial chain shop, still small with the daggy interior but I think that’s what makes it good.
My only tip is, if they say it’ll be 15 minutes give it 20 – 25 minutes as they’re always busy and you usually end up waiting in there for about 10 – 15 minutes after the time they said.
So glad this is my local!

Don’t get me wrong I enjoy the fish and chips from Johnny’s and they have nice staff and decent prices. I have ordered takeaway from here a few times, however I wouldn’t call it the best fish and chips ever.
The battered fish, potato scallops, crab sticks and chips are all good. I don’t like how they store the grilled fish in plastic take-​away containers, it can get soggy if you don’t pick up your order quickly enough.
I have also occasionally had problems with not having enough cash on me to pay. Last time I was there they didn’t take card.
