Stopped in for a looksee as we were passing and I’d visited some years back. Was suitably impressed with their range of products and fairly reasonable pricing. Wad absolutely ecstatic to find real angelica! I havent been able to find it for years… Also picked up some snack bars and the staff member offered an ooinion of a better tasting variety, i took that advice and was very happy with the outcome.

I discovered Loose Produce during Plastic Free July and I love the place. I needed to find somewhere I could buy loose items such as flour, nuts, cereal without plastic. At Loose Produce you can take your glass jars in for refills or use the paper bags! Brilliant! There is a focus on local products and a great range of organic, gluten free, vegan, paleo, raw, paraben-free skincare and even nitrate-free bacon! Great coffee, smoothies and cakes as well. Free wifi is the cherry on top. Winning.

Apparently, Loose Produce is in the process of swapping ownership. The new owner(Meredith) called me today to discuss my bath-milk request. While she isn’t sure she’ll end up carrying it, I am so flattered that she called me. Again, customer service wins my heart time and time again. Thank you Loose Produce and congrats to the new owner. I look forward to coming back and re-reviewing.

Loose Produce is a favourite for niche food items, typically those made by local producers, and as its name suggests, good old loose ingredients which can be purchased by the bagful. The barrel selection covers the full gamut of spices, flours, nuts, candies, dried fruits and seeds. They’re quality ingredients and reasonably priced too. Loose Produce also goes out of its way to cater to people with special dietary requirements(think gluten free breads and dairy-free dips), and has a solid selection of «super foods». You’ll feel healthier for shopping here.
