What a fun day! Lots of slide options for different excitement levels, with staff really helping to make the day great as well as safe. Very limited food options but lots of lockers and bathrooms.

We had a great time at WhiteWater world recently — it’s not as busy as Wet’n’Wild up the road, and we found generally the rides were better, more variety, smoother, and just more fun. Going in we weren’t expecting much, as always thought this was kind of tacked onto Dreamworld as an afterthought, but we’ll be going back next time we’re up that way for sure. Staff manning the rides all seemed pretty friendly too, which was another surprise. Oh, and when I say«we» I mean four adults in their 30s. Plenty of fun to be had for us ‘oldies’ as well as the kids.

Picked up the kids from school on a day off, and drove down to white water world for a couple of slides on a Monday afternoon. Arriving at the top of the slides, I was incredibly disappointed to find one staff member manning two separate slides, effectively halving line /ride throughput. This was the case on both the Wedgie/GreenRoom section, and the Rip/Bro section. I didn’t say anything to the staff at the slides, as I know this wouldn’t be their decision. Some nitwit back office manager with a shiny new MBA has decided this is an effective way to reduce labour costs. We have yearly passes, so it wasn’t a massive blow — but what about the customers who have paid FULL price to enter the park, who are getting HALFVALUE? Time to hire a new manager who understands customer service is king and staff the slides appropriately!

WhiteWater World is located next door to Dreamworld… It is a pretty good water park with some good rides and fun little kiddie park… the lines to go on the rides are ridiculously long and so incredibly slow… staff don’t seem to be that efficient at getting people through… so would recommend that you go early or don’t go during school holidays… because there’s not that many rides and you’re competing with so many people… it takes forever to go down one ride. I would recommend that you take your lunches and snacks with you… food options are limited, expensive and not very nice… there’s lots of junk food but no real healthy options… and especially if you’re vego — there’s absolutley nothing here other than chips and cake… so bring something with you! lockers cost $ 10 per day… and only take change — so make sure you grab that before you enter the park. otherwise you have to line up with everyone else getting change and competing to grab locker — which there doesn’t seem as though there are enough of them at the park for everyone. The wave pool is great… Love the pipeline plunge area with the dumping water bucket — lots of fun… The supertube hydrocoaster seems to be the most popular ride and the line is super long… so get there early and do that one first… Great day out for everyone and definitely one park to make sure that you do while visiting the Gold Coast — highly recommend, but go there early and not during school holidays! :)
