Tyler’s Fabrics

So the range at Tyler’s is fantastic, if you are looking for an exacting shade of ivory silk, chiffon or similarly high end fabric in Melbourne THIS is the place to find it. Prices are also fair/​middle of the road for other retailers in Melbourne.
It’s the service from Michael that was so appalling. Never have I had treat someone treat me with such a condescending, rude approach. Yes Michael is very knowledgable about his silks, but when his firm assertions (about colour) were shown to be incorrect, he started criticising my fabric knowledge, ‘what would I know about fabric’ and similar — I’ve never experienced such rudeness in a retail shop.
The other staff members were lovely and very helpful, but once Michael took over serving, the interaction turned incredibly sour. I’m not the type to hold onto such things, but I was left frustrated and annoyed for at least a week afterwards!
I was at pains to purchase the fabric from them, yes I had exhausted all other options in Melbourne and it WAS perfect, but the service was just so gobsmacking obnoxious! Avoid the owner if you must shop there!
