Rude, rude, and RUDE!!! It’s a buffet of terrible attitude! Manager and phone reservation staff alike! When calling up for a table you’re expected to answer straight away to the seating options they give you. If you pause even for a second, you’ll get an very abrupt and abrasive: ‘YOUWANTITORNOT?’ On a second occasion, I called up to make reservation for one adult and one child, staff did not bother to tell me over the phone that they charge minimum 2 adults(at close to $ 80pp) for dinners till we arrived. Asked if they can do anything about it for just this once, seeing it’s raining outside and we drove from the other side of town to get here, my 6yo is very hungry. etc, the manager replies: No we can’t, and we don’t mind if you leave. When I mentioned that they should at least make it clear to customers when ppl make a booking instead of inconveniencing them like this, the answer was also a blatant ‘NO’. They’re obviously having too many customers walking though the door that they simply do not give a blind plop about customer service. Surely they’re not the only yakiniku place in town? The whole notion of Japanese ppl being very friendly and take great care with customer service? That bubble bursts with Nishiki. NEVER again will I or any of my friends or any of theirs set foot in that place. NEXT!

I was drawn in by the promise of great steak and the all you can eat buffet. I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical of this place. all you can eat Japanese BBQ? I mean that’s pretty pricey for some chunks of raw meat. Little did I know the feast that was about to ensue. The menu includes all wagyu beef cuts, sushi, sashimi, oysters, vegetables, rounded off with a choice of desserts– unlimited naturally. Preconceptions disappeared as soon as the wagyu touched my tongue. The quality of these meats are undeniable. «Melt in your mouth» is a term that fits here more than most places it is used. Go for a special occasion(I recommend you be hungry) and indulge in the food here. Quality isn’t compromised by the buffet concept. My only tip is to order lots in the first order taking– the waiters are running around and it seemed a couple of times we were ignored(perhaps strategically to take up some of our two hour time limit).

Great food at a good price! You do need to know what you are doing or the wait staff become impatient, but otherwise I would recommend.
