Charlotte Cowie was 22 years old when she opened her flower shop. Pretty neat as is her shop. I like that her range changes frequently and that she stocks a lot of native Australian flowers like Banksias. Charlie(her nic name) scours the flower markets looking for great finds of her tastes but is also happy to order in any flower you might be particularly fond of or looking for. She puts seasonal flower suggestions on her website and posts photos of her latest findings. She also has an Australian made line of gift cards called Little Branch which are gorgeous and I’ve not seen anywhere else locally.

This place is worth a weekly visit. Not just because it is nice to buy flowers on a weekly basis, but because this florist is ever changing with the wild and wonderful selection of nature’s creations. Red Fragrance Floral Designs say they want to you ‘feel something’ when you walk through their doors. The unique collection of flowers does achieve that, evoking an inquisitiveness and a curiosity in me. I am always asking ‘what is this’ when I am in here, marveling at a sight my eyes have never seen before. I typically leave here with traditional lilies or roses but they are put together in such a spectacular fashion that I can’t help but feel delighted taking them home. Last week I went in here to pick up white Columbian roses and sadly they didn’t have any. I walked away with a bunch of oriental lilies($ 15) which were just as beautiful and unique.
