What a great friendly team. Went for my first SUP attempt, loved it and highly recommend this company.
$ 10 for an hour’s hire and half hour «add on» time available makes these guys a very easy and affordable option. I hired my SUP for 1.5 hours at a value for money cost of $ 15.
We went to their hire shop as we arrived and they gave us iPads to complete our disclaimer forms (nothing crazy, just confirms you can swim confidently and not going to take your SUP into the surf). You then get a voucher to exchange for hire team on the beach.
You cannot hire directly from the beach so make sure you visit the hire shop first. I have also seen you can fill in the appropriate online disclaimer forms and get your hire voucher online before you arrive to save yourself time. You may find you can use your online voucher directly with the beach team without having to first visit the hire shop enabling you to hit the water even quicker.
You only have to fill in the disclaimer form once and they send you an e-​copy and keep one themselves so you don’t have to fill in a new on on every visit.
Looking at their website they do offer lessons if you want to become a pro but I managed to stay standing up for my first attempt without a lesson.
They did not seem overly pedantic about time, leaving it to you to be good and honour your rental time so you may want to wear a waterproof watch when you go or have great semaphore reading skills between you and a friend on shore.
Really looking forward to going again and a great activity to enjoy as a group, family or just floating solo.
