Our Lady Of The Sacred Heart

Our Lady Of The Sacred Heart is the first Catholic Church I’ve visited this year. It is not the usually church I go to, but I needed to attend earlier than my normal 10am mass in Canossa. The mass I attended starts at 9am. I got there a minute to 9am and the church was full. There was only enough space to squeeze in between other families on the benches. I never feel rude squeezing in between people, because it’s a church, I expect that they’ll be nice and always allow it. So far, there have been no disputes.
The priest here seems very nice from what I can tell. I especially love his story telling. I find it easy to follow and quite inspiring. For me, since I am not a regular church goer, I find it difficult to listen to the mass going on. I usually zone out a bit. But here, the stories were very applicable to young people. That’s what I most like about this church, oh but also the singing. In this church people sing a bit louder than other churches I’ve been to. Solemn all the same.
This church in Darra is filled with many ethnicities. I love it. There are plenty of Vietnamese, Samoan, Filipino’s, Italian’s and Aussie’s. Nice church with a very multicultural vibe.
