Place used to be great. But the cleanliness and quality of food has plummeted. Staff are slow and tables are not cleaned very well.

Stuck in a shopping spree in ‘The Donc’ and looking for a feed, but get hives from the thought of dodging teenager’s french fry fights in the food court? Head up a level to the cinema and right next door is Ionio. Nominally a Greek restaurant, it seemed to be actually more of a classy Gyros joint(that’s all everyone was eating), featuring the best views of the city through the large food court windows. Lunch specials are very well priced for a sit down meal. We shared a large open-gyros plate and a quinoa salad and it was too much for the two of us. The meat was amazing — but then again gyros usually is!(Didn’t have to be drunk to enjoy this one though). Note with the open gyros that you don’t get any salad like in the normal one, and from spying on other’s plates the normal one would probably have been enough to share. The staff were the day-time ‘B team’ — a little bored looking, and didn’t really seem to know their stuff, but compared to the craziness of the food court below it was a nice way to refuel mid-shop.

Worst. Service. Ever. Complete disregard for customers(pretty much non existent to staff). Be prepared to make your own order, take your own seat… And make your own meal or serve your own drinks as the staff have no clue as to what’s going on

Seven Seeds coffee in Westfield Doncaster is definitely a rare find and here’s hoping Ionio works out… Even if it is a tongue twister. Ionio is the first restaurant next to Rebel Sport at Westfield Doncaster. Next to Rebel Sport? Yeh, that’s a weird way to describe it… but factually it is true… So far this restaurant space has changed multiple times since opening up the new wing, in fact I think it would have to be the most changed restaurant in Westfield Doncaster(anywhere challenge me by disagreeing?) Why is this place cool?: — Great seating outside the front and inside the restaurant. Outside you can sit and chat for a coffee and people watch if you so feel inclined — it is directly next to Village Cinemas). Inside you can see beautiful views of Melbourne — Hint, if you want to stay in the burbs for NYE book at this place! — Village Cinemas is right next door(repeating myself… yes, I know) — Great Menu — Great Coffee(& Bean choice) — Friendly wait staff
