Read about this place on a list of top spots for brunch & tried it out with some friends. Really friendly staff & good service was a good start. I had the salmon bagel — DELICIOUS! The eggs were done well(not overdone) & there was a generous amount of everything. Friends had the French toast fingers(yummy) & their version of a big brekky. We all loved our meals, felt satisfied & like we got what we paid for. Coffee was 4 out of 5. I’d definitely go back again.

Went for a quick coffee — waited over 20 minutes for it while people who had ordered after us got their coffee and food before we did — quite annoying!!! Please serve simple orders before a big food and drink order — over rated and over priced

Breakfast only review — heading back for lunch — and more breakfasts, soon. Colleague and I catch up for breakfast monthly — generally do well, sometimes brilliantly. Our Gillberries experience was the latter. Two beautifully plated and generous breakfasts, great ingredients, and well treated. A mushroom side a must! And, for a couple unlikely to be converted to the tepid coffee vogue — sensibly hot coffee without having to ask! Our five star rating is based on diligent research.

A favourite of the locals, Gilberries doesn’t fall shy of pulling a good crowd during lunch time — probably due to its well portioned meals, fresh home style cooking and mighty fresh baked sweets(sitting on the counter on a hot tray from the oven). The atmosphere is nice, the outdoor seating under the vine covered patio is nice, the service was well… nice and the food was a bit more than(I’m not even going to say it). I wouldn’t rave about the coffee, as it is served as hot as tea(probably to suit the demographic of the place) and the blend was a bit ordinary. Arguably however this place does a roaring trade because it is close, has pleasant service and a more diverse and well-priced menu than many others in the local area.

Gilberries is a nice little café in Dulwich. It serves breakfast, lunch and of course coffee. The food is really good, nothing too different, but the produce used is fresh and food is cooked to order, rather than reheated or sitting around in a food warmer all day. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, the outdoor seating being comprised of a few small tables out the front as well as a courtyard area to the side. Service is a little on the slow side. Prices are fairly moderate.
