I might be showing my age here but The Epping Hotel on Beecroft road had some major renovations quite a few years ago and it just isn’t the same.
Long gone are old favourites like the big enclosed beer garden, that little cool area near the pool tables, the seats around the fire place, the den bar, the scum bar and smoke filled night club called Tracks which in all fairness is still there. There is a nice bistro area now and a smaller beer garden area which over looks the side lane way.
Right across from the train station it’s a popular spot for locals who stop by for a chat after a day at the office or a meeting point for those looking to catch the train and head out. Some times people like me have to stop living in the past and move on!
