We are a Support Group offering help and information to those with RSD/​CRPS (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy/​Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) or chronic pain, those caring for them, or those with an interest in RSD/​CRPS. We offer a Monthly Newsletter to Members of the Support Group, as well as free access to a Facebook Page and a Website. We are here for anyone battling with this chronic condition. We offer assistance to anyone in Australia.

History

Established in 2013.

Although we have only just started this year, 2013, we in fact originally started in 1996 and ran until 2007. We had over 200 Members in this time and were in contact with hundred’s more sufferers. We started with a simple advertisement in a newspaper and quickly grew due to the need for this kind of Support Group.

Because of increasing contacts and a need for support and information the Support Group has once again started.

I have had RSD/​CRPS for over 20 years, and in this time I have done a lot of research on this subject as well as talked to hundred’s of sufferers and those who care for them. When I speak of treatments, etc, I am often speaking from my own personal experience. I first started the Support Group in 1996 because I felt so alone living with this condition, and knew there had to be others like me. I was right, and the Support Group steadily grew. I do not have a medically trained background, my knowledge comes from first hand experience.
