Rainforest Bakery

This bakery completely messed up an order for a birthday cake.
The follow up complaint on the phone was an utter disgrace. The owner was rude, belligerent and disregarded our complaint with abrupt behaviour. So bad was this that we have decided never to return!!!

I was tempted, I couldn’t resist. No matter how much my body was saying, «dude, quit it, I’m hurting,» I just had to indulge. A friendly staff member took the tongs and picked up the delight and placed it into a white bag. I payed and then scurried off to the car to eat in peace.
The fresh cream and jam donut sparkled with its light dusting of cinnamon and sugar. The sweet smell of diabetes filled the car’s cabin and suddenly soaked into every pore of my body. A presence took over me as I wolfed down that soft donut.
When I finished I felt a mixture of guilt and pleasure, shame and elation. I made a note to go visit the gym, but as I drove off all I could think about was that donut.

Rainforest Bakery is a small and unassuming place you probably drive past all the time if you’re on the North Side a fair bit like me. But to be honest, I’m glad it’s only really a place for the locals because then I get all their wonderful treats to myself. My Dad actually recommended it to me when I wanted something sweet and, ever sceptical, I trudged off thinking he was full of it. I walked away thinking they make the best chocolate scrolls I’ve ever tasted.
I’m a disgustingly sweet sweet tooth; I actually take sweet tooth to a new level. I love mock cream buns and all things chocolate and Rainforest Bakery delivers all of those things with flying colours. It’s always true that the smaller places have the best quality food, isn’t it? The guys at Rainforest Bakery must put in a lot of personal effort because the bread is always beautifully fresh, the sweets are always to die for, and the savouries offer a real pick-​me-​up. This is another small business winning the hearts of many with genuinely great food and service.
