I’ve rarely left a haircut looking as good and feeling as good as I do after an appointment here.
It’s pretty pricey for a men’s cut compared to your standard barber or men’s hairdresser but there’s a reason for that: all the cutters and stylists here have continuing education as part of their practice.
It’s a really amazing salon and everyone’s lovely. Also, there are always lollies at the counter and some of them are sherbies, if you’re lucky.

Great service, friendly staff. Barberella is a great salon if you want a really cool style-​cut or colour but is also perfect for the less adventurous. Even though its dead in the heart of Gertrude street you never get any Fitzroyalty attitude from the staff.
I’ve been crossing town from St Kilda to get my hair down at Barberella for 10 years and I’ve yet to have a bad experience.
