Clear It

Clear It has stock that didn’t sell from a few brands — the mainstays being Jack London, Dangerfield and Revival with others making guest appearances.
A Melbourne native and v bargain oriented shopper I got excited about this place at first and now I’m kinda over it. Others I’ve introduced to Clear It seem to have had a similar trajectory — from Wow to Meh. The place is a bit of a mirage in that there’s a big range and racks of clothing but because it’s leftovers samples and seconds they’ll often have heaps of the largest and smallest sizes and not much in between. Also lots of least popular colours/​loudest designs. Much of the stuff I initially bought I no longer wear — as other reviews here point out the quality can leave something to be desired.
I don’t get wardrobe staples at Clear It but when the moon is right I’ve scored something for a great price that I enjoyed wearing for a while. Hipster staff are usually friendly

Take your boyfriend or your best guy friend, and expect to stay a while. This is about the only place you can find brand-​new men’s clothing for $ 10.
The gargantuan warehouse may feel overwhelming at first, but I guarantee you that you’re going to find something amazing. (Especially if said guy is a size L — everything comes in his size.)
The brand names are in full force — Dangerfield, Revival, etc. Which translates into major bragging rights when you can score a jacket for $ 50 or hat for $ 5. Some pieces are still $ 90, but it’s brand new and practically the same season as what you can find in the brand name stores themselves.
Go, explore — have fun and try something on you normally wouldn’t. It’s so cheap it would be a crime not to.

This is a review from a non local. This is a review from a jealous Perth resident. A jealous Perth serial tourist in Melbourne who has to make at least one religious pilgrimage to the holy land of the Jack London warehouse store in Fitzroy. Seriously, the Perth equivalent of a Jack London warehouse was half a shop shared with Dangerfield, smaller than the size of the Flinders St Dangerfield. There is no more Jack London warehouse in Perth now…
The first time I stepped into the warehouse, my jaw went slack at half priced jackets. I bought two. Subsequently, I’ve made a few visits there over the years, conveniently intervalled by a few changes in seasons, & have never left empty handed. The gems I’ve found have mostly become my wardrobe staples, defining articles of clothing, & general fancy dress.
Today I left with a pair of sheep skin boots, 2 formal leather belts, a ¾ coat, a men’s formal cape coat, 3 pairs of pants (2 velvet, & one cow suede) for under $ 300. Less than the price I paid for my very first Jack London jacket that I bought back in Perth. Not sure if scored big this time, or ripped off big last time.
Sure, there’s a mountain of lousy fabric there, & sure they could maybe use slightly better hangars on clothes that have been previously priced above the $ 500 mark, but dig deep my friends, & you will find some real treasures!

With hats, bags, and wallets up for grabs at $ 1 and cool t-​shirts available for around the $ 10 mark, Clear It! is an absolute goldmine if you are prepared to sort through the ~90% of the crap they have here.
Coming from the UK, shopping here is akin to shopping at TK Maxx. There are lines and lines of racks and there is treasure to be found in amongst the rest of the very run of the mill stuff. You could easily spend a good half an hour looking for bargains here.
There are huge discounts and if you endure it will be well worth your search.

I am not a man. Nor am I a gender bender. But I am a girl with a boyfriend who is a) sartorially, erm, picky, b) indecisive and c) tires of shopping after a piddling hour or so. Thank God then for the Clear It! Mens store on Brunswick Street, the masculine corollary of the girls’ shop just a couple of doors down.
Having spent many an hour here helping said boyfriend buy everything from t-​shirts and singlets to jumpers and even suits, I am a massive fan of Clear It! and owing to its capacious size, extraordinary range of stock and awesome prices, Clear It! really is a bit of a menswear no brainer.
The only issue I can think of is that there are only a few changing rooms and hardly any mirrors dotted around the place which can make trying before you buy challenging. It can also take a while to rifle through the extraordinary range of stock on offer and a full range of sizes in all styles is not always available.
Overall though? Clear It! really is an embarrassment of menswear riches.

Men: don’t go to the old Clear It factory outlet for guys’ clothes any more. That outlet is now all women’s clothes. All the guys’ stuff is now housed in the large shop next to the Perseverance pub just a little way north on Brunswick St.
That’s where you’ll find enough cheap Jack London, Revival and Dangerfield gear to clothe you until the arrival of the Naked Era. The quality of some of this stuff is pretty poor and will likely end up as landfill in less than a year’s time, but sometimes you just need some cheap shorts or a shirt for an interview or something, and occasionally you’ll find a real bargain, particularly on the Jack London suit wear.

If you are a fan of Dangerfield, Jack London, Revival or any similar type of fashion you should probably check this store out. It will be well worth wading through the mass of people who have similar fashion intentions as you, to take a look at a good selection of fashionable clothes at excellent prices.
My advice is make sure they are giving you the lowest marked price on the label as the staff can get confused about which of the many discounted prices written on the label they should apply and if they give you a lower price than marked then give a smile to the universe and do a good deed that day

Stocking brands such as Dangerfield, Friends of Couture, Jack London, Revival and more you will not be short of options for something new to add to your wardrobe.
I actually come here once a week, its that cheap. Singlets — 2 for $ 10, Shirts from $ 10, pricing is ridiculous here!
My favourite purchases include a ³⁄₄ long Dangerfield coat, originally $ 250, i scored it for $ 75. Even picked up a Jack London business shirt for $ 10!!!
So fellas if you want some new kicks or clothes pay Clear It a visit and while you shop, the Clear It women’s store is just a few shops up.
