Went back for their famous $ 9 lunch today after a bad experience with service and a glass of bad Petaluma red last time … Some 38 degree today and the lift is out of order, so stairs to the 4th floor. Order the Barramundi special, kudos to the Chef and team, it was fantastic and worth the hike to the top. Did not order any wine and went with a pot of Stone Wood Pacific Ale, that was a fantastic choice. It’s one of those unique establishment in Melbourne, trust they’ll continue pumping good food and drinks.

Can’t beat the cocktail menu. Or the Vodka tasting platters for that matter. Went for lunch on a Saturday, which is apparently one of the few times they’ll accept bookings so we were lucky as it did start to fill up as they day progressed. Sadly the weather was pretty average(so we sat inside) but I’d imagine on a sunny day this would be lovely. Bit annoying that the bathrooms are 2 floors down, especially after a few vodka tasting platters! The food was divine, although something was amiss for me. Maybe it was the atmosphere? It’s so huge that there’s no real intimacy or coziness. I’m glad I went but I’ll probably try other places before returning. Probably better with a large group of people.

Who doesn’t like being Naked in the Sky? No one that’s who. Even during Melbourne’s chilly winter nights you’ll find a flock of people enjoying the naked life. Love this roof top bar area ontop of Naked for Satan.

The food here was really lovely, and there’s a very good alcohol selection. We liked the cracked wheat and hazelnut salad so much we asked for the recipe and tried to recreate it at home.

Fancy cocktails + home brew alcohol + great views + lots of spots to sit and soak it all up. Try and ask what flavour the vodka infused ‘naked bitch’ is without sounding inappropriate!

«Naked in the sky» is the grown-up posher upstairs version of «Naked for satan». We’ve been coming to both regularly since opened. The booze menu is pretty much the same for both — but the food isn’t, it’s much better upstairs(but not cheap). Whilst the pintxos downstairs have deteriorated year by year(I won’t eat them anymore) this kitchen makes fresh tasting good food. About the view… Going down Brunswick Street, the building doesn’t look that high high and that makes it more of the surprise when you see it. It has Unhindered views for a long distance in all directions except west. I adore the«Naked Ale» or a glass of the Tempranillo, he likes the IGA or one of the vodka infusions. It gets very very busy(expect to queue and remain standing) on any warm weekend/public holiday but it’s worth it. I adore this place and will keep coming back.

Interesting. NITS is everything it’s cracked up to be. Seriously nice food in an interesting and nicely appointed building. I enjoyed every single dish — scallops, octopus, fried cheese, stuffed zucchini flowers, pear and riddichio salad, etc. The place is quirky and well set up. The service was brisk, friendly and efficient. Superior stuff indeed. I’m looking forward to returning here, perhaps for lunch next time. Bravo.

My favourite place in Melbourne!!! OK predominantely for the view, but that isn’t to knock anything else about the place. I love it all the tapas food is great, the house beer is awesome, the house vodka’s are pretty good too. The décor and interior is really quite cool. It is located(in my opinion) in one of the greatest streets and suburbs of Melbourne. This place has it all, shame I dont live closer to it, but at least that saves me a few pennies as otherwise I would be there every night

If your first reaction to Naked for Satan’s rooftop addition was«hipsters in the sky», you would be correct. Naked for Satan’s charm lies in their dirt cheap Pintxos and fun vodka infusions. Elevate this upstairs and you lose the cheap food but gain a 360 degree view of Melbourne from their wrap around deck(even if it is focused on the charming but somewhat unattractive Fitzroy) as the primary drawcard. Not a bad spot to kick back. So if a drink and a Northside view is what you’re after, this is your place. Beyond that, the service is rude and arrogant and the food isn’t great value. I came to check out their $ 9 bar snacks for lunch and was not a fan. You’ll need to order quite a few to make a dent in your hunger. Everything was served without plates or cutlery and we were basically scolded for asking to correct this because it was«finger food». Apparently it’s ok to eat steak tartare and garden salad with your hands at this establishment. No thanks.

Great location. Service is amazing. Perfect views. I could go on & on like I usually do in my reviews, but I think that sums it up. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is you may have to wait a while to get up there(if a nice day) coz everyone in Melbs will be there.

Look, you’ve got to go at least once for the beautiful views. The food options are incredibly delicious, but you don’t get much for your money! Maybe try one or two things with friends, however you’re probably better off just going for a quick drink, taking it all in from the gorgeous wraparound balcony, and then heading somewhere else on Brunswick St for a feed. Must say, they’re doing some nice winter themed cocktails with irish coffee, mulled wine and other cold weather drinks, so don’t be afraid to drop by even when the clouds are out! There’s heating outside and awning to keep the rain away.

I can recommend Naked in the Sky for a place to show off Melbourne. At the street level at Naked for Satan its hard to appreciate what is in store for you once you travel up the elevator. Great views of Melbourne that come alive at night, great and attentive service even though the venue is pumping, fantastic selection of small eats, and a great drinks list and even better off the menu drinks if you ask. I cannot add more than what the other reviews have raved about, but what a place!

I really shouldn’t like this place, it is overcrowded with early 20s hipsters and some even younger wanna be hipsters. The décor trys too hard, way too hard. Nevertheless, Naked in the Sky works for me. It has stellar views… being on top one of the tallest buildings in Fitzroy gives you panoramic views of the city and beyond. The extensive outdoor terrace allows you to drink and snack in the under the stars or summer sun. Naked in Sky has a great cocktail menu, and the bartenders know what they are doing. Try the unusual Bees Knees or go with a more traditional Paloma and you won’t be disappointed. I thought the food would be sub-par given the crowd and the premium views, but the food surprised! The new to the menu duck confit, was perfectly cooked and the tender meat just fell off the bone. My dining companion raved about his braised wagyu intercostal… slow cooked and simply delicious. The desserts were a bit hit or miss. The whipped green apple sorbet was a refreshing delight while the olive oil cake with goats curd ice cream was a bit flat… huge portion but not as tasty. All in this was a great find and glad we stumbled upon it! One of the best rooftop dinning experiences in Fitzroy.

I was half an hour early for a lunch date in Brunswick so dropped in to Naked in the Sky for a drink to kill the time. Beautiful summer day(finally) and I managed to find one empty table on the balcony that runs around three of the walls of this rooftop bar. Great views over Melbourne and the Dandenongs, all washed down with a little jug of sangria. Lovely. On the ground floor is a vodka bar that also serves a variety of pintxos, which of course I had to try(surely three tiny morsels won’t ruin my appetite). Olive with anchovy, smoked salmon with garlic and fennel, and prawns served on a creamy/cheesy paste. Very tasty. Great place to spend some time on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

As a rooftop bar Naked in the Sky is a great place, but for actual food I probably won’t go again. They have a well stocked bar, as do many others in the area but the views from rooftop are great. Like many places in Fitzroy they do not take bookings, it is first come first serve for food. I’m going to honest I hate this ‘no bookings’ thing; growing up in hospitality and working in the industry I find it make one job harder because people get cranky a lot quicker(they do spend more at the bar = more money). I was with a group of 6 on the weekend during peak service time. We were told a wait of approximately 45 minutes, I stopped counting after one hour. Service is decent, better than in Queensland but standard for Melbourne; though staff are polite and without an air of snootiness. Food comes out fast after ordering, but that is to be expected when they do the amount of covers and thus partially cook most menu items. The majority of the food our table ordered was good, the biggest let down were the beef cheeks. Whilst tender they lacked flavour that one would expect from being slow cooked in cider. It just tasted like a dead piece of cow. The bean and potato purée could of been smoother, and needed a bit of butter. A simple rich red wine jus could of saved the whole dish. You do get complimentary bread which gets refilled. Overall I’d go back for drinks but won’t bother with food. Service is decent, price matches the market and whole wannabe Spanish fine dining(and like food in Australia is ever cheap) and taste of the food is hit and miss and well hard to judge when one is ravenous. Yes this review is a bit harsh, but I have high expectations and standards.

Yep! Holy bat ghost again! There’s a great range of beers here. Vodka’s, Cocktails, and other drinks, of which I only got to sample a small portion. The bar food is great; steak and peppers skewered, Green olives, JAMON! chorizo, the cheeses, and the blue cheese and walnut croquette’s. There’s also some nice amber ales, a really great view and a very eclectic mix of patrons/customers. There’s Hipsters, nerds, douches, impoverished uni students, Cool cats and heaps of young people. This also seems to be the place that attracts stupidly big groups that verge on crowds. Once you’re up in this venue, and looking for someone or have to move about it really does become a crowded nightmare. When its a super windy day, the awnings become lost in a battle for the wind. I like this venue however, it’s rather great. The rooftop part that is, I haven’t been downstairs properly yet.

I used to go to Naked For Satan all the time but haven’t been in ages. Yes, you get cheap pintxos, but really, it’s just proscuitto on bread or bresaola on bread — nothing fancy. But someone told me I have to go check out the rooftop now that it’s open. So I went. Basically, if you’re looking for an amazing rooftop with a view of the city from Fitzroy, Naked In The Sky is your destination. They have a wide range of booze, but the best part is they have a food menu if you’re looking for something more than just pintxos with your drinks. The rooftop has tons of seating and standing area. For the novelty of a great rooftop in Fitzroy, I’d say I’m a fan.
