Well if you hate tea you’re going to hate T2. But if you even like tea just a little bit, you’ll love T2. I love the hot stuff. They have the biggest variety of tea pots here. Awesome looking tea pots and cups. From the simple to the not so simple in terms of designs and functions. OK, first things first. I like the tea here, it’s pricey but it feels special when you drink it. And the fact that they have so many different ones means that no matter what mood I was in, there would be a tea there for that. As summer approaches they’re shifting focus to the cold tea side of things. Something wonderful about this store is they have several brews ready to try at the self-serve counter. You can either help yourself or the staff will talk you through it. I really love this place. I like tea, I like the ritual of it. I like the way you have it to get started in the morning or to wind down at the end of a busy day. Some people are coffee people and some are tea. I am a tea junkie and T2 is my dealer.

I may be a little tea addict short and stout but alas, I don’t have a handle or a spout. Enter: the incredible T2 on Fitzroy’s Brunswick Street, which is nothing short of a tea lover’s paradise. Selling an exquisite range of teapots, cups, tea travel accessories, kids and other tea paraphernalia and an incredible range of high quality teas themselves, T2 is one of my favourite Fitzroy stores. I have been known to drink my tea — Earl Grey in case you’re asking and with rice milk instead of the real thing — out of a pint glass, such is my appetite for the oxidised stuff, but T2 even has the giant — and appropriately so — tea cup market covered. Selling tea cups ranging from the bijoux to the enormous and teapots in a myriad of colours and designs that are almost too pretty to drink out of, T2 really is one of the glossiest, coolest and most unusually niche shops I’ve been to in Melbourne. If you like drinking tea in style, head to T2.
