Zone 3 Laser Games

I don’t know if I could say that I *love* laser tag but I definitely hold equally strong opinions as to the fun level of laser tag and as to the utter stupidity of the self-​same activity. Zone 3 is famous amongst most Inner West kids under age 13 and equally famous amongst most lazy male undergraduates over age 18.
The battlefield at Zone 3 is a matte-​black wonderland, with neon highlights and a blacklight to turn everything into purple. The main area extends up two ramps into a sort of perch which is perfect for the l33t sniper action and there are also some beacons that get used in a mini-​game of some kind. Outside of this modern warfare, Zone 3 boasts an impressive arcade, the prize jewel of which is an original The Simpsons Game arcade machine. Laser tag is a pretty affordable activity, on the whole, and Zone 3 has a range of member programs if you take to it and foresee a regular hankering for laser-​based combat.
Be wary of your chosen time to visit Zone 3, however. My last visit was on a Sunday afternoon and there was a large group of kids having a birthday party. Which wasn’t an issue in and of itself, but they had a dad with them who would just walk around and stand behind you and press the trigger while his soulless chuckle went ‘huh huh huh huh’. And he had a pony tail, to boot. If you’re out there and reading this, buddy: I demand my satisfaction! Laser pistols at dawn!
