With Footscray showcasing so many Asian eateries, I was very excited to try this one, but unfortunately it was rather average. Inside, it’s not the most welcoming of spaces. It’s a bit cold and bare, and that lighting surely must attract the bugs, but they’ve tried to jazz it up by adding star-patterned table cloths. On the plus side, it looks clean and the staff were über friendly and very accommodating. Because a majority of the menu is Sichuan food, I was expecting some hot and spicy dishes, but unfortunately this was not the case. It was all rather ho-hum and the kung pao prawns really missed the mark for me, and they certainly weren’t cheap! There’s much better Sichuan around Melbourne, but this place is ok if you’re looking for take away, or a quick bite to eat. Tip: Cash only.
