80c for a doughnut? Yes please! The more you buy, the cheaper they are. Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside. Served warm, rolled with sugar. Heaven.

OMG you guys! Olympic doughnuts is the bomb. It’s like totally vintage from the early 80s. I mean, it’s been around for forevs and is like totes a Footscray landmark or whatever. After school you should rock up here and pick up a donut or two or three! They are really, really hot, sugary, crunchy and delicious! They are filled with this gooey, yummy jam that is amazeballs! You can buy one for like 80 cents:-) And don’t forget that the jam comes out of a cute little dolphin dispenser. Yum, yum. In conclusion I can safely say that Olympic Donuts is simply the best! **This is what happens when you read and correct 28 year six information reports in a single day.

This doughnut van has some of the best doughnuts in Melbourne. They are nicely sized, have more jam than the QVM van and are cheaper, at 80c. As far as I know, it’s been at the Footscray Station entrance since 1981. The QVM donuts are 90c and barely even have jam in them. They were good but not these days. The smell at Olympic Doughnuts is so good and is addicting. the line moves real quick, so don’t be put off if there’s a line. Even with all the works around the Footscray Station entrance, they’re still open Each doughnut is feshly made. They are crunchy on the outside, doughy on the inside, the jam filling is real jam. It’s bliss. Sure there’s only one type of doughnut so there’s no choice but that one type of doughnut is done well. Also the jam machine is a dolphin. It’s pretty cool and is probably worth the 80c by itself. I will go back whenever I’m in Footscray

I would like to write a simple review because that is what replicates this place. The most crunchy on the outside, doughy on the inside, hot jam, hot donut you can get on a train station that I have seen. SIMPLE.

The smell of fresh cinnamon doughnuts dominates the area around Footscray train station. It’s intoxicating, and very difficult to resist. Don’t be put off if there’s a line, it’s certainly worth the short wait. Each doughnut is fresh, and the jam filling is real jam — not just some sugary fake solution. There’s one type of doughnut and they’re 80 cents each. Sure, there’s no variety. But they do one thing, and they do it well. Also, the jam machine is a dolphin. This is worth 80 cents alone.

I only discovered Olympic donuts after recently moving to the west. Now I try to find any excuse to stop at Footscray station. The donuts are awesome and the jam injecting dolphin makes them extra special. Not too hot either so you can scoff them down. This place is an institution and I hope they are around for many more years to come!

Nothing beats those sweet syrupy doughnuts, this place has been in its current location since the mid 1980s. Eventually when the RRL is complete it will find a new home, hopefully not too far from where it stands now. A location that could well be NYC in 1980!

These doughnuts are where it’s at. Freshly prepared, and pumped full of delicious jam from a contraption that can only be described as a «scale metal dolphin with a mosquito proboscis.» But for all I care this«Jaminator» device could be shaped like Sweeney Todd’s razor-gripping hand and I would still inhale their deliciousness gladly. These doughnuts are so good, they drive many a person to extreme lengths to get them. I heard an unconfirmed story many years ago that staff at a distant railway station made the Footscray Stationmaster package up a dozen fresh, piping hot beauties in a crudely assembled«urgent parcel», for delivery through the internal railways correspondence service to satisfy a craving. While that’s neither here nor there it serves as an example of how good these doughnuts are. Do yourself a favour, etc.
