The restaurant was quite busy so consequently our order took a WHILE and our coffee ordered was incorrect. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the breeze with breaky. We ordered the egg white omelette and the buttermilk banana pancakes with nutmeg butter. The pancakes were incredibly fluffy and quite possibly the best pancakes my wife and I have ever eaten.

Buzz café at emporium is definitely worth checking out! The food here is incredible. This is the epitome of a valley café — solid, reliable, slightly funky and busy… Sure the layout of of this busy little café is not quite as pretty as some, it is functional — it does work and work is all it must do, as i would hate to even try to hazard a guess as to how many meals these guys put out a day. Parking is a pain in the proverbial but it is located in the heart of Brisbane’s «Valley» parking anywhere here(in the surrounding area) is damn near to mission impossible — at least they have parking on site. The important part — is the food — YUMM… These guys produce a solid and reliable menu time after time, have never had a bad meal here(touch wood).

Buzz is almost always faultless. The restaurant itself is a delight. It’s location, however, does have a tendency to be a touch painful. A spot at the illustrious Emporium hotel complex comes with its own set of quirks. The Emporium houses actual well-to-do people and it attracts a selection of successful, wealthy individuals to its doors. Then, it brings in people like me… A bevy of people that like to spend Sunday mornings pretending to be rich, flock to Buzz for breakfast. A plethora of middle class né’er-do-wells and vagrants line the footpath dining section waiting for their tiny taste of the good-life. Likewise, authentically eminent people swing by to have their own care-free petit-dejeuner. To be cruel, Buzz strikes me as McDonald’s for the nouveau-riche. Underneath all of the bumptious decoration, Buzz showcases a rarely mentioned class divide: Middle-versus-Upper-Middle. To all of the posh, Lexus-driving Emporium-dwellers, I’m sorry. I’m one of the one’s ruining your Buzz experience. The best thing about Buzz though, is the eavesdropping opportunities. Ladies with pearls have the most titillating conversations. Breakfast at Buzz is magnificent, but the gossip is always better.

Love this place! Although the internal fit-out is mildly ugly(in my opinion), the food is always impeccable. We came here recently for a quick client lunch. I had a special allergy salad — the chef was very kind to me, while our other guests had the specials of the day. The food was magnificent. Delicious, tasty, so very fresh. Also very reasonable pricing, definitely worth the visit if your popping in for a quick and yummy meal — I’ve also heard excellent things about the breaky!

This place is dismal. The sandwiches were an absolute rip off. They used Tip Top white bread and didn’t even toast it. A total rip off = $ 15 for a pork sandwich on white bread and nothing else was on the sandwich? Just dismal. I will never ever return to this place.

Buzz certainly seems to be the place to be on a weekend morning if you’re at Emporium. The place is packed! I suppose there aren’ t that many breakfast or brunch places at Emporium, because most of the restaurants there are mainly geared towards the dinner crowd. Despite Buzz’s popularity and the number of people there, the bistro style lay-out(which includes some outdoor bench seating) doesn’t feel too cramped or get too noisy so it’s a nice place to kick back and read the paper over a coffee and maybe a snack. The coffee here is fairly good, I’d give it a B+ if it were in my class. The range of food is pretty standard, but well done nonetheless. Last time I was at Buzz, I got the banana bread. It came out(a huge slab of it!) toasted so it was crisp on the outside and steaming on the inside, and was served with cream and honey. Very nice. The whole ambience of Buzz is about lazy brunches with the Sunday papers. Settle in, do the crossword.

Busy little Buzz is always doing just that, buzzing. A friend and I recently popped in for the first time for some lunch. Both of us were battling a horrible flu and were sniffly, mopey and grumpy and in serious need of some sustenance. Buzz sorted us right out! We sat down in the colourful little joint and were greeted by a waiter who could see that we were a little under the weather. He suggested a fresh juice with some ginger and pineapple to help our throats. Wow! Why didn’t I think of that? We had a look at the menu and decided on having the soup of the day which was a roasted, curried pumpkin soup. It was exactly what the doctor ordered! Thick and creamy and delicious! We walked out of Buzz feeling much better, like we had been looked after by our Grandma or something. I’ve always wanted to go for breakfast but it’s always so busy, so I suggest that if you want to experience Buzz then give them a go for lunch! The menu is OK, the service is great and if all that doesn’t brighten up your day, then the loud décor sure will!

Buzz is as cute and busy as its namesake. On a Sunday morning, you barely have room to squeeze by because the place is so busy. Yet they still find time to serve up some really wicked breakfast combinations. Fresh eggs and deliciously cooked haloumi are particular specialties of Buzz. Situated in the Valley’s popular Emporium, Buzz adds a very sweet and quaint feeling to this little precinct with its inviting awnings and brilliantly lit interior. It’s the perfect venue for a light-hearted breakfast with friends but if you’re not a fan of noise you’d better steer clear. I wasn’t kidding when I said Buzz gets busy, and with that flurry of activity comes a higher than normal decibel level. But if you want to sample the good food and friendly service, you’ll have to brave the throng of people my friends.
