Situated on the edge of Brisbane city and Fortitude Valley, Foundation Espresso & Bar provides a relaxed environment for any occasion.

We wanted to have fun and not take things too seriously in the design of our unique venue. Combining a sophisticated lighting system with a modern seating area we have transformed a «hole in the wall» to a miniature sound and light experience guaranteed to make you feel good. During the day our fabulous barista’s will create the perfect espresso for you to accompany a double choc chip cookie or some other tasty treat with world beats echoing from our discrete sound space. At night the space is transformed with a myriad of coloured led’s lighting up the space and sophisticated upbeat music to enjoy with your favourite cocktail, martini, beer or wine. For the adventurous we have a huge selection of ever changing cocktail shooters ranging from the crazy prairie fire to the mind numbing bloody brain.

History

Established in 2013.

A brand new bar situated on the Brisbane city fringe in Fortitude Valley with the aim of providing a niche space for people to come and get a great cocktail, shooter, martini, beer, wine or even Islay Whiskey and not be hassled by the craziness of the outside world. We have created a small, unique space full of colour, lights and sound to help you drift away or have as much fun as you want. The aim of the space was always to not take ourselves too seriously and we hope to have achieved that.

I have spent most of my working life in Information Technology but have always wanted to own a bar. This year my dream became a reality when I decided to take the plunge and open up Foundation. This has been the culmination of many years of hard work and determination and reflects my unique take on the world, which is not to take things too seriously and have lots of good times so that you have things to remember.
