Located just at the exit to the Fortitude Valley train station, this convenient quick bite is much like its numerous competitors: a cheap Indian place with curries lying out. Pick a couple over rice, get maybe a side as well, and pay not a ton of money for a rounded meal. To distinguish this one from the others, I would note that it lives up to the name. The chickpeas were relatively mild, while the dal had some nice hot peppers in it, and has been the spiciest thing I’ve found in Brisbane thusfar. They also threw in a papadum with my meal, which was nice. I wouldn’t come here specifically for the food, but if you’re commuting through the area, this is going to be a really nice quick meal.

Eaten here lots. I usually get the butter chicken with rice and naan bread. Nice, generous naan with plenty of flavour options. Try the gulab jamun –they’re flavorful! Always friendly service, and clean shop with fresh naaan. My friends have eaten here before with me and enjoy it too. Fairly priced with delicious curries. I have tried the other pakoras and other similar snacks they sell –tasted fine but not really my cup of tea. I tried the lassi and it’s good! Definitely recommend!
