Valley Ink’s position in the Valley mall is very convenient and in the thick of things, but I’m not sure if I’d want the weekend club-goers ogling me while I got my ink. It is a good location though, and the amount of foot traffic to pass the doors would just about negate the need for the business to advertise. There are several great tattoo artists working at Valley Ink, and piercings are also available. The premises are clean and not dodgy in the slightest(comforting for those about to permanently stamp their bodies). The hum of the tattooists’ needles as you walk down the mall is a suitable addition to the colourful and always unexpected sounds of the Valley. Check out the Facebook page for specials.

Valley Ink is located in the middle of the Valley Mall in Fortitude Valley. The shop recently relocated there and is a pretty swish establishment if you are looking to get inked or pierced. The studio is big, bright and unlike other tattoo shops that can look seedy and hide behind closed doors, you can watch the artists at work through the glass shop front. Piercings however, are still done behind the scenes as are the more private placings of tattoos. There are a few talented artists to choose from and their work is well publicised on their Facebook and website pages so picking your artist can be just as hard as picking that perfect tattoo! Prices are average for tattoos with the minimum being $ 100.00 or $ 170 per hour but it is best to head in and get a consultation done so they can help you match up with the artist who best suits your needs. The shop is open 7 days a week from 10:00am till late, they do bookings and can also help out walk ins as best as they can, and the gang are happy, helpful and generally pretty cool people! Plus they dont mind a party and occasionally have one in the studio, DJ and all! If you are looking for some quality ink or a good price for a piercing, definitely check them out.
