While Pakington street has always been the hub of Geelong’s café scene, in recent years several new joints have opened up with a far more ‘Melbourne’ attitude. Good food, great coffee and fast service. Sebroso is just one of these. I have brunched here a couple of times and am consistently impressed by their warm and welcoming staff. They always seem to be one staff member short which increases their haste and shortens their patience but they are always delightful despite this. The food is nothing special and takes an extraordinary amount of time to get from the kitchen to your belly. 45 minutes for a chicken and avocado focaccia? Seems a bit steep… But the coffee, relaxed atmosphere and cute little outside area makes up for this.
