I haven’t eaten here, but I’ve stopped in for a coffee on my way to Mildura more than once, and I haven’t yet been disappointed. They’re a friendly staff, they do a pretty good coffee and for my purposes, the location is pretty good. Whenever I’ve got a choice between a small café and a chain café, I always favour the smaller of the two, just because in order to survive, the smaller place has to be doing something right. Good little place.

This place sits directly across from the popular Coffee Club, which is a daring move to say the least. I’m not a big Coffee Club fan though, so I decided to try this place instead. The couple who run the place are lovely, at least I assume they’re a couple… and that they’re the ones who run the place… The food didn’t take all the long to arrive and the croissant I ordered was cooked beautifully. A little crispy around the edges but not black, and the cheese was melted on top rather nicely. My partner had a baguette with was beautiful and fresh, as were the ingredients that were used inside it. Upon leaving we were asked how everything was. There were definitely no complaints. The shop is also situated where the sun isn’t going to cause any problems. I mention this because if you’ve been to the Subway at Gepps Cross Homemaker Centre you’ll know what I mean. On a hot day having that sun stream through the window can make for uncomfortable dining. Thankfully that’s a non issue here.
