This small bottle shop has one of the best ranges of Spanish wines in Sydney because the owner happens to be Spanish wine importer, Jose Fernandez. He carries all the usual suspects from 19 of Spain’s wine regions: Riojia, Tempranillo, Pedro Jiminez etc, etc. If you’re lucky and Jose is in the shop and not in his office upstairs, stay and have a talk with him, he is a fountain of knowledge about Spain and its wines. I met Jose around 15 years ago and became interested in Spanish wines because of him. He has been importing wine since 1974 and he now imports half of all Spanish wine coming into the country. If you want to make your own tapas at home, impress your guests with a selection of products from Broadway Liquor because they have a limited selection of Spanish delicacies, oil, Spanish Mineral Water and Spanish Cider. Pop in and have a look around, you will be surprised at your choice of wines. They also sell Australian and Italian wines, beers and spirits.
