Despite rave reviews on here, I was less than enthused about the food, nor the coffee. I thought that the house blend was a rather boring run-​of-​the-​mill and over extracted.
I had the corn fritters, which were very ordinary and my companion said his meal was uninspiring.
Service was extremely slow and although they were busy and we were sitting outside, we were asked three times by the same person if we had been served yet…

Had a nice afternoon here. Perfect end of winter (more like spring day).
I’ve been here a couple of times before but not within the last 12 months or so. The coffee is nice, kinda weak, but really hits the spot. The atmosphere is great and I ended up having a good chat to the staff about The Artful Dodger and found that there is a new café coming to High Street in Prahran. The location of Whyte is convenient as it is right near the train station and is a very nice area. They’ve also got a great selection of cakes and muffins and what-​not that will really satisfy your hunger.
I like this one. I can’t wait for the next in line to open up over the next few weeks!

Love there orange cake and the best ever muffins & coffee. I love there special pooched egg with mushroom and truffle oil.
Used to be my everyday muffin and coffee place. Excellent service and well chosen menu.
I miss you whyte café, hope my server ginger is still there
