History

Established in 1977.

In 1977 as Terry and Diana Smith sipped coffee and chatted with their neighbours about the growing number of units being developed in their area, the idea for a new business was born.

It would not only be one of the first of its kind in South Australia, in fact in the nation, but one with heart; a business with a founding principal of ‘people over profit’… and so it was that Strata Data began.

Today their eldest son Paul runs what has become an incredibly successful, connected and technology driven family business. Supporting over 1,400 corporations and 20,000 owners across South Australia and Victoria, Strata Data employs 70 professional and dedicated staff who personify all that this business was founded on… they put people first.

With a unique ability to imagine big picture innovations then explore their potential with detailed and analytical thinking, Paul’s authentic approach to work and life flows through to the creation of our engaging workplace and industry leading organisation.

Having been a part of this family business for over 25 years, Paul’s extensive knowledge of Bodies Corporate has lead him to play an active role on the state board of the Community Titles Institute of South Australia (CTI SA) and forge ahead with industry best practices.

Paul’s entrepreneurial eye for new ideas and leading technologies combines with the people first principles this business was founded on, resulting in our ‘people over profit’ approach to business.

Outside of work Paul is a proud family man, Crows supporter and cricket fan. So when he isn’t chasing his young daughter Abbie around the garden or catching up with friends, he lends a much needed hand to others through his Director position on a number of charities.
