If I’m playing golf, which is pretty rare nowadays unfortunately, this golf course is my plan B. Not because it’s bad. It’s just not as good, geographically speaking, as Morack is when it comes to being convenient for me. I’d estimate that I play three times as much at Morack as I do here. But when I do play here, I’m really impressed by the quality of the course itself. The other factor is that I can get a game in when the rest of the family is having a picnic at Jells Park and still turn up for lunch like the dutiful son that I am. The green fees are reasonable. For eighteen holes on the weekend, you’re looking at a bit under $ 24. The concession rates are pretty good. $ 10.70 for pensioners, students and under 16s isn’t bad at all. As always, though, if you’re playing a lot, you’ll want to become a member. In all, it’s a really well looked after golf course. If you play like I do, it’s a really nice place to walk around and pretend you know what you’re doing. Don’t turn up wearing thongs expecting a game though!

I wouldn’t say I am much of a golfer(though there was that time I played one game, got so excited I brought a set of clubs and never played again.), but I don’t mind the odd game. I came here once with my family, and really enjoyed it. I don’t pretend to be a golf expert, but I thought the course was quite good, and easy enough to walk around. There is also BBQ areas, a kiosk, and plenty of seating so you can really make a family day of it. It does tend to get pretty busy on the weekends, especially over the summer months.
