Description

Specialties

Our business is a huge indoor market with a wide variety of items for sale such as vintage clothing, antique furniture, jewellery, plants, paintings, books, china, crystal & glassware, tools, toys, kitchenalia, garden furniture, ephemera & so much more. We have over 200 different stalls & they all have their own variety of stock so there’s something for everyone! Most stallholders display their contact details so customers are able to call them to try to negotiate discounts, investigate the history of an item or ask other questions.(Please note not all stalls have their phone numbers displayed which means their prices are fixed at the tagged price)

History

Established in 2011.

This business was started as a direct result of the closure of the National Antique Centre in Mornington which we previously owned & was sold to Masters Home Improvement.

The stallholders had nowhere to go so it was suggested we open another centre & this is the result. We have many stallholders who have been with us since the opening day & plenty of newcomers which results in a great diversity of items for sale. Stallholders regularly bring in new stock as there is such a high turnover so there’s different stock each day.

Meet the Business Owner

Geoffrey A.

Business Owner

Geoffrey started the Tyabb Packing House approximately 40 years ago after working as a furniture restorer. From there he moved on to open the National Antique Centre In Mornington. This business was sold to develop Masters Home Improvement & from there we opened this business to cater to the many stallholders who had nowhere to go after the Mornington closure. Geoffrey was the first to open this type of business & from the number of others who have followed in his footsteps it was obviously a good idea!
