This is a great big JB, I think it used to be WOW, back in the day.
One of those big warehouse type jobs, it’s far bigger than the JB up the road at Chermside.
You can get your car stereo installed, buy the latest games or movies, but in addition to TVs, stereos, etc they also have fridges, washers, etc. I believe it’s branded a ‘home’ store, because you can get more than just the entertainment stuff here.
Location on Gympie Road can be a bit of a nuisance around peak hour, and look for the parking underneath; the front car park can get quite full.

Who knew JB Hi-​Fi had a home section? Not I but when my orphan fridge, which had been passed down from housemate to housemate in share houses past, finally died of natural causes this past weekend I discovered swiftly that JB sold home appliances.
Already having a clear idea of the fridge I wanted (no I’m okay not to have a door in door feature) the task was simple. The sales assistant who helped, Nick, was knowledgeable, open to negotiating a deal and surprised me with an offer to layby. This was perfect as it let me store it with them till I’d made arrangements for delivery and removal of the old fridge.
And okay, this isn’t a retail experience where they’re going to roll the red carpet out for you but they will look after you and it’s made all the more easier if you know what it is you’re after.
