Honestly, this place is so overrated, tea is okay, but how hard is it to stuff up tea? Foods not nice, and very expensive, plus service is not good.

This cottage is so cute and perfect for high teas. They also have a nice little store(bit expensive though) which you can buy lovely little girly trinket stuff. The desserts looked delicious and we had a scone with jam and two sandwiches which we a nice treat. Although the reason this place is a 3 is because there is no real sound barrier. There was a group of ladies enjoying a high tea nearby and they were so loud and annoying. It pretty much made me re-think a revisit because I might run into some more loud people ruining such a cute quaint café.

Situated in the quiet end of Guildford well the pedestrian traffic is but the road traffic needs some planning Was very impressed with the presentation of the wait staff, dressed to match the surrounds and pleasent demeanours to go, nothing was too difficult for these lasses The food at «maddies» was fresh, tastey and plentiful boasting all home made I am inclined to belive this as there are goodie seen here that Ive not come across elsewhere Gifts galore as every single spot on the walls and shelves was taken with trinkets, nicknacks and homewares, loved the linen and the door knobs If there was 1 thing to help these folks improve there shop it would be the presence of a «senior», very trusting to let young girls control your business I will be back to try the to die for High Teas that others where devouring during my stay Maddison Cottage well worth more than a single vist

We visited Maddison Cottage on Sunday afternoon for a good rest & a cup of tea & a slice of cake after browsing the numerous antique shops & the quirky Museum of a Natural History in Guildford. It’s a pretty home style shabby chic tea room with lots of decoration. We sat on the front terrace which was busy & pet friendly, there was a nice family atmosphere. The staff were friendly and courteous. There were a good selection of teas & cakes which is what you would expect from a tea room! The cakes were delicious and my fresh three mint tea was tasty & refreshing, especially out of the pretty tea cup & pot. If you’re having a nice Sunday mooch around Guildford like us I fully recommend a pit stop here!

I have memories of coming to this crafty little cottage as a child with my mum to get her Cottage Craft supplies. Walking into the café brought back childhood memories, granted some might’ve been«hurry up mum I’m bored!». But as an adult I enjoyed browsing the Cottage Craft still stocked at Maddison Cottage, All the furniture matches the Cottage theme, vintage tables and chairs for diners to eat their orders off. We ordered coffees(delish), hot chocolate(yummy), iced strawberry milk(huge) to wash down our cupcakes, toasties and scones with jam and cream. All of which were amazing! We will definitely be returning one day.

Hands down one of the best high teas I’ve been to in Perth. I had a group of 13 for my birthday. Décor and tableware mismatched and quirky. Staff attentive and friendly. Had a room to ourselves up the back on two tables. One table would have been better to mingle though. For $ 34 a person, the range of food was a great balance of sweet and savoury. The mushroom vol-au-vents and mini pavlovas was delish. Extensive range of T2 teas were we got to try a few types with each pot refill. Definitely a must try :)

Still love it! …still a little warm and cozy(and I don’t mean in in a good way) on a sunny Perth afternoon in late March…

Guildford is a great little place just at the entry of the Swan valley. If you are on your weekend day out or enter here for a serious Swan Valley holiday, madison Cottage is highly recommended to have a tea or a coffee with a delicious piece of home made chocolate mudcake. This little place is a piece of heaven at the busy street with its deck, beaurifully setup with flowers and old french style iron cast chairs. It is very pictoresque and the service is very friendly. The inside of this little café that also makes great lunch or breakfast, is completely kept in 50’s style and you can also buy there presents. In short: if you visit Guildford, Madison Cottage is a must go !

This was my first experience of Guilford on a Sunday afternoon. Does it get more beautiful than this? Previous reviews of this cottage-come-tearoom have been spot on. The deck area out front is a little piece of paradise looking onto an otherwise busy street. The scones are delicious; I found it a personal challenge to pile as much cream and jam onto my scone as possible before it collapsed in my hand under the weight of such sweetness. As the owner of a dog who loves to frequent the café strips as much as I do, I was delighted to discover that our Lolly was welcome to sit on the outdoor deck area with us, and not simply relegated to the token smokers seats out front on the street. We were also pointed in the direction of a dish filled with water which Lolly was welcome to drink out of. Before leaving I had a quick peek inside and discovered a treasure trove of quaint gifts and trinkets that any lady would be happy to receive. A great place to pick up some Christmas gifts and then reward yourself with a nice scone and tea after a hard ten minutes shopping!

Maddison Cottage is quaint at its best with its stunning little outdoor wooden deck filled with beautiful cast iron chairs and tables surrounded by pretty roses and colourful flowers, this is where you want to be on a breezy summer day sipping your tea and eating your cake. The atmosphere and setting is reminiscent to an English garden and sets the tone for the inside of the tea house/gift shop. Walking in you have the same little chairs and tables adorned by comfy cushions, the white vintage shelves and cabinets display a mound of lovely little gifts from pretty tea cups to beautiful homewares. The serving spot is in this area so if you want a little bit more privacy you can move into the next room which is just as beautifully merchandised but a little more intimate. Maddison Cottage is surprisingly large with three different areas and a cute little corridor filled with more oh so cute gifts. If you like home made products, pretty gifts, floral everything and an English country vintage vibe you will love Maddison Cottage. In my opinion this place is simply darling.

This oh-so-cute cottage only opened in November last year. It’s reminiscent of Simply Cottage in the Swan Valley and upon enquiring I discovered the woman who used to run simply Cottage now has a share in this business. Ahhh, the shabby chic similarities now make sense. I love the gorgeous merchandise you can get from this café cum gift shop. And I love the price too. The giftware looks original and hand made. It’s probably not, given the average price is about $ 20, and I couldn’t care less. Note to self: get the button bag for my fashion enthralled sister. It looks much more expensive than it’s twenty dollar price tag. Awesome. After perusing the eye pleasing products I sat down on my shabby chic chair and awaited my home made scones. All the café delights are home made and they all look divine. I can report the scones were truly delicious and at only $ 3.50 for them(including a generous helping of jam and cream) they went down a treat. Gluten free options are available and I reckon the gluten free carrot cake has my name on it for next time. Gorgeousness abounds in this creative café. My eyes were continuously fixating on an array of fabulous finds. Street parking is available but if that’s a bit tricky but there is parking at the back and lots of side streets with ample parking in Guildford. Maddison Cottage: I shall return.

This is the cutest little tearoom-cum-giftshop you ever did see. Housed in a quaint little cottage with a bright, flowery patio seating area at the front, it sells delicious homemade cakes and drinks which you can enjoy at dainty tables nestled amongst the gifts and homewares for sale. Maddison Cottage describes its wares as ‘shabby chic’, but I’d describe them more along the lines of ‘dollshouse chic’; in fact the whole place is like one big overgrown dollshouse, and we, the customers, are the dollies. Think floral printed aprons, lacey cushions, cutesy ornamental animals and quilting galore. It’s an adorable and oh-so-girly shop, and a perfect place to take afternoon tea with the ladies of your acquaintance.
