I’m trying to find a nice way to describe the taste of ice cream that has melted… and then been refrozen. And then eaten the next day. Well that is the lingering taste I still have in my mouth two hours after trying the my Fig & Macadamia! Like stale icicles! And my wife had a scoop of the Coconut and that was like sugar sprinkled with Coconut cream. She left half of hers but I did have the courtesy to finish my small tub. I do love home-made ice-cream, but this is far from the beaten path of gourmet«home-made» flavours. I get the feeling that they hide behind cute names that are really designed to sate the youngest visitors, rather than appease those with wallets. Clearly, judging by the happy turbo-charged munchkins running around on kilos of sugar, they have a happy audience! So hats off to Oggies, marketing well done. But for those like me with tastebuds, nah. Keep on trekking! Overpriced and not worth the spend.

Nice spot for an icecream after a busy day out. Good variety of ice creams. Found the ice cream to not be very creamy like you would expect. Play area for children. Toilets on premises. Seating indoors and mainly outdoors.

Awesome ice cream. Ferrero Rocher is popular. Peanut butter is pretty nice, too. Their scoop servings are very generous! They also sell assorted lollies :)

This ice cream parlor can get packed and busy especially on a sunny day. Oggies Ice Creamery has a range of ice cream ranging from classic rum and raisin and honeycomb to bubblegum as well as a wide range of sorbets. They also do banana split, waffles, sundaes and spiders, along with stocking ‘olé school sweets and lollies like whizz fizz, jaw breakers and red skins. I got half scoops of blood orange sorbet and ginger and something(i forgot! oh how bad of me!!) ice cream. And the half scoops was so generous in serving! The ginger-something ice cream tasted like gingerbread man and it actually went really nice with the blood orange sorbet. The blood orange sorbet — the flavours of the blood orange was such a nice refreshing hit on a warm day. It wasn’t too tangy and it wasn’t too sweet. Perfectly made sorbet! I just love their sorbets there, full of awesome flavours and so refreshing on a hot day! Why go for desserts at the wineries when you can have ice cream?!

Not much to hate on an ice cream parlor. I’m a girl for sweets. Service was great, with multiple taste-tests. The Whiskey Cream was drunk-on-sugar-goodness. But, I settled for two-scoops of Vanilla Bean and Mars Bar in a waffle cone. The waffle cone was fresh! I didn’t fear the sun melting my cone, as I devoured it just short of a brain freeze. Several other local items sold in Oggies like homemade soap, which is such a cute gift idea and strange candies(lollies) like eggs?!? But, my man was smitten to find fuzzy peaches. I was too busy staring at the sodas in the fridge and yep, the A&W Cream Soda is from… you guessed it… Plano, TX. That makes my heart swell.
