This is a very busy café, especially during the morning peak hours. There are plenty of nurses, doctors, other medical staff, patients and visitors who flock to this café to get their morning hit of caffeine. There are a few baked treats in the window which you can have to accompany your hot drink, but most people in the hospital get something from the food court which this café is almost joined to. On the times I’ve been here there isn’t an organised queue, but somehow it still works cohesively. The staff are very nice and allocate a number to each customer as they order, so all they do is call out the number when your order is ready. Considering the large number of customers they receive in the morning, I would agree this is the most simplest and effective way of handing out the orders. There are tables around so you can sit and enjoy your cuppa here. I was surprised at how good my large cappuccino was! Not bad for a hospital café, not bad at all. For anyone who plans on getting a coffee before coming to the hospital for fear of bad coffee, I’d recommend checking Café Nescafe, it may change your view on this.
