Not only is this our local, it’s our family favourite. While offering good eats, the atmosphere is always right and the beer is always cold. Service is always good and when there has been a slight error, they’ve promptly come to the table on making it all better. The pricing is slightly elevated but in comparison to the suburb’s other watering hole’s offerings, we’re happy to pay a little extra. Suitable all ages. Highly recommend the surf & turf, pulled brisket sandwich, onion rings and arancini balls!

What a great place. Décor is stylish and comfortable. There are a variety of seating areas. They also had a kids table and activities for them. Great for family’s young and old. Food was delicious. I had the beef sliders. Not usually a beef person but thought I’d give it a go. Delicious and such a generous portion. We were positively stuffed from our mains, didn’t get a chance to sample the entrees or desserts, maybe next time. The staff were polite and attentive which was great. A great place to visit if you’re in the area, a great feed. I look forward to going here again.

Nice environment with a lovely aesthetic. The staff and service were of the average standard for Perth. Good but not great. The food would probably fit in the category of Pub grub and the serving sizes are quite generous(overly so in some cases). The quality if the food was reasonable, it was pleasant enough but could do with some refining. I ordered the Amelia Park lamb but after being told it wasn’t available I had the Pork Belly. It had a nice flavour, I liked that it was served with cauliflower mash instead of the standard potato but there was an overly generous serving of jus with it that over powered everything else. The service was somewhat slow, we waited almost an hour for our food, and some of the food prices were a little high. I will visit again with the family and try some of the other food. A pleasant enough place to eat if you’re in the area.

Tucked away in an obscure corner of High Wycombe is the Boab Tavern. Despite the surrounding suburbia of High Wycombe the interior of the Boab is a funky new age bogan setting that surprises on many levels. There is no pretentious staff here. All were welcoming and friendly. The food is a tad expensive for«pub grub» but the quality of the food is excellent. Great flavors and all well put together with larger portion sizes make the price worthwhile. The chefs have definitely put a lot of thought into the menu including paleo friendly, gluten free, vegan etc. Of the three times I have been here I have had excellent service each time. Overall the Boab scores a four as it is excellently designed pub food.
