Took me forever to decide. I ordered a patsie and the raspberry housecake. The patsie was decent. My only complaint would be that it’s a tadbit salty. The housecake wasn’t that great. I didn’t like the custard. The staff is very friendly. Their toilets are very clean. Outdoor seating is available(was bothered by those annoying Aussie flies though).

As far as bakery chains go, I have to say, I’m a fan of Banjo’s. This is another place that I began frequenting as a matter of pure convenience for its proximity to my workplace, but ended up falling a bit in love with. Compared to Brumby’s and Baker’s Delight on the mainland(and hiding in a couple of spots down here), Banjo’s definitely wins for me. They’re not just a bakery but a café as well, serving delicious fresh salad sandwiches and baguettes(all on their lovely bread and rolls, of course). There’s also the heated food, where it’s almost too easy to opt for three sausage rolls for only $ 5.50, or the dessert cabinet, where Banjo’s have recently added single-serve banoffee pies and taken a little of my heart with them forever. Sure, they might be a chain – but they’re a Tasmanian chain, which makes them ultimately better. Plus the staff at this one are sweethearts and there’s plenty of seating.

Relaxed space with a fair number of comfy chairs. Lots of baked goodies to choose from(croissants, cakes, danish pastries, rolls, pitas, sausage rolls, pies etc). Also your take home stuff like loaves of bread. Their coffee has never been any good, but everything else is pretty decent.
