Location is very strategically on the top level of DFO. As husband and shopping bag carrier it shimmers on the horizon like a distance mirage once you’ve past Ralph Lauren. Nice interior, friendly service and a good selection of pastry make this place a welcome resting place from a shopping ordeal. My mocha seems a bit on the bitter side, yet it has a full body and creamy texture. With just a whisk of fine powdered chocolate on top, it gives me hopefully enough strength to finish the shopping without filing for divorce. The beans have this slight aftertaste you often get from Côte d’Ivoire harvest. All in all, I recommend it.

I’ve been here twice now, the first time the only issue was how few chips they give you with the burger(it’s not called burger and chip). The second time around though!!! We sat down and read the menu from front to back 3 times and settled on the same items as last time. That would be a cheeseburger & chips with a chocolate milkshake for the boy and breakfast bruschetta and a strong cap for me. First sip of coffee and I almost spat it back in the cup, it was absolutely horrible! It was an extremely burnt cup of milk. The breakfast bruschetta was covered in rocket and not much of anything else. It was really upsetting as the first time the food was really good and the coffee was actually decent! The boy said the milkshake was good however the beef patty was different to last time as it appeared to have lentils in it. The taste too was a lot stronger and overpowering than last time. I won’t be back for the coffee, which is needed when dealing with the crowds at DFO!
