Last Thursday saw Dave on the Unilocal team at the Your Brain Matters Trivia Night. It was late, so I didn’t want to have to turn around and cook dinner after doing the grocery shopping. Zozan had sold out of their really good shish kebabs so I took the easy way out and bought dumplings from Lok Lok. We picked up 3 or 4 dishes of dumplings of assorted flavours(I still had to feed the eating machine in the form of the 14 y.o. son) and a plate of the shallot pancake. We opted for some that had to be fried after steaming so that added a bit to the time but it was still ready in about 10 minutes. $ 33 saw us all full(even the eating machine who polished off his sister’s dinner), so it’s pretty good value. If you want something fresh and light from a shopping centre food court this is a really good option. It is all cooked to order so it’s a much better option than something from a bain marie at one of the usual suspects.
