My fitness training group meet at Birralee Reserve, had it not have been for this I would never have even known it existed. It is a great park and pretty much caters for everyone. There are the equivalent to two playing fields an upper and lower level. Any night of the week this park is home to many dog walkers, runners and people exercising. There is also a childrens play area to keep the kids amused. There are cricket nets that can be used at any time of the day. There are ample water taps however there are no toilet facilities. During the summer and winter(school terms) there are larger crowds due to tee-ball and AFL training taking place. There is ample parking all around the park and it is far enough from any main roads to enjoy some leisurely park time. The down side to this park is the lighting — once it is dark lighting is very limited.

I thought I’d treat Boris my dog yesterday and take him to a park he hasn’t been to before. I pulled out my trusty Unilocal app and saw that Birralee Reserve was near Officeworks where I needed to pick something up, so I decided to head there. I can’t believe I hadn’t at least seen this Reserve before as it’s quite large and just off Cedric and Odin Road, which I drive along all the time. The Reserve is made up of 2 large ovals, one on higher ground and the next larger oval on a lower level. There isn’t much traffic around the oval too which is nice. It’s a great size Reserve for walking your dog and letting them run around. There’s a children’s playground on the far end of the oval, and a few shaded picnic tables scattered around too. It’s also the home of the Innaloo Football Club
