Genesis Jindalee is a great all-round gym/health club. It is spacious, reasonably well equipped and clean. The staff are friendly without being invasive, there are plenty of activities, and the members are all pretty cool. Lots of equipment and machines, and free weights area has two squat racks and an oly deck. Could use some new equipment and maybe some more oly gear.

Best gym I have ever been to, the members as well as the staff are friendly and helpful. I love the on site café with the deck, the pool and sauna and the classes. It’s worth checking out!

Recently rebuilt after the floods that hit my local beloved Jindalee, all the equipment is new, and smells new too. They are big, they have a huge hall, the rooms have all moved around, there are many rowers, cross trainers, bikes and cardio machines. they have a pretty extensive weights area and a huge fitness room to run all their classes. My favourite class(don’t judge me when I say that I like it so much better than Zumba) is the Sha’Bam class. The instructors are fit, have energy and are so friendly. You’re thinking, yeah yeah this is all the same stuff that all the other gyms have to offer… you may be right, and in fact I know you’re right because i’ve been a member to other gyms all my life. But don’t worry there is a difference. For all you mothers of young kids out there, now you officially have no excuse. There is a kids club. Not just any kids club, it’s a massive one. It’s so massive it’s got 2 rooms. Two massive rooms and toilets in built as well. Wait, there’s more. It’s free with your membership, it’s free if you’re just trialling the club out for free, yes, that’s right… you don’t have to pay any extra. This is huge for mothers out there because every other club under the sun charges for kids to be babysat while you work out… between $ 3-$ 6(per child!!). On top of this, you can go month to month without a contract. The rates are pretty affordable and there is a swimming pool! They are in the process of adding on outdoor bootcamps too, is there anything this club doesn’t have? The bathrooms have a GHD iron and a hair dryer and lockers that self-lock with a code you can put in when you go in there. I love this place. My kids do too… and after your work out… go have a coffee at their café complete with outdoor seating on a beautiful verandah and really friendly staff. It’s not just your corporate club, Anthony Ikin, the General Manager of the Club used to be a finalist on Australia’s So You Think You Can Dance. He is by far the happiest, always smiling person I have seen most days walking around the club, doing work outs, mingling with the members. When you walk into the club, it is a family feel. You aren’t approached by corporate sales monsters and made to wait. Narelle who spoke to me casually showed me around the place, answering any questions I had, and I would not hesitate to recommend her to new joiners(I have, twice so far). Definetely check this place out if you have young kids… the kids club is free people.
