Love this café. Location is great! Went with my daughter and she loved it as she was having a cake and watching a frilled neck lizard Havent seen one in yrs. Really friendly service. Great coffee.

I love this café and have been many times. The view is wonderful and the food and coffee good. So why only a 3* review — service. Very slow and really poor communication. When very busy we have waited 45 minutes for brunch. If they could sort this out it would be 4 – 5 star. If you accept that service will be slow, then it is a great place.

Bad food, over worked staff, and great views. Love the views, perfect place for a wine. But they need two extra staff at least. I had bacon eggs and tomato relish. The eggs were over cooked by at least two minutes, the bacon was cooked but had gone cold before it was brought out, the toast we burnt, and the delicious relish was a smear on the plate. So much potential. Hire more staff, watch a YouTube video on how to poach an egg, and put the drinks fridge so people can grab the drinks they have paid for.

Best views in Brisbane. But service leaves a lot to be desired. Woefully understaffed for the number of tables and orders placed. Waited over 30 minutes for wine and beer order. Not really acceptable.

After visiting the café numerous times, I’m motivated enough to write a review. I don’t like writing bad reviews… but this café leaves me little alternative. My visits have been for brunch, of which there is a decent menu. I have no complaints of the food– it’s nice and there is something for everyone. I’ve tried the avocado/dukka/haloumi twice and the frittas once. Both were great choices– abet they took 30 minutes to come out. However, the coffee is mediocre at best. Weak in flavour and often the milk is over heated. This is most likely reflective of how busy the café gets. I really think where this café goes wrong, is in their service. I understand that it is busy and there is a 15 – 20 minute wait for tables, and I’m a patient person. But if we have a conversation where you suggest we get a take out coffee and wait– and we do just that. Perhaps it’s a good idea to look for your patrons near where the coffee is served? Being overlooked for your table because you are getting a coffee is not acceptable. Especially when this was communicated to the host. Then dumping us at a table with no instruction of how to order? It left a pretty bitter taste in my mouth. I’m hopeful the café can fix their service(especially when you’re charging a 15% surcharge on public holidays), as the venue is great and the food is promising.

Me and my husband decided to go to Cliffs Café this afternoon to try their Sunset menu, enjoy the view and a cold beer. We were told that the kitchen was closed so their sunset menu was not available today, despite their menu clearing showing it available 7 days 2:30 to 5 pm. No apology was offered just a shrug of the shoulders. It’s such a pity that the staff member was so unhelpful and disinterested. If she’d been polite and welcoming we would have stayed for a drink. We took our business else were.

Go for the view, don’t stay for the food. The coffee wasn’t bad at all. Mixed reviews on the food offered up to my friends when we were there. The price seems to have the view built in.

Arguably the best view of Brisbane and the beautiful river, the Cliffs Café also has another thing going for it– great food and drink! Their coffees are to die for, and this is such a fantastic venue to show off Brisbane to an out-of-towner friend. The service has always been so friendly, and if you’re lucky and go of an evening there’s often great live jazz and blues music . Swallow your vertigo and make a trip to Cliffs Café soon. I recommend sitting as close to the barricade as possible for the best uninterrupted views.

Boasting what’s quite possibly the best view of any café or restaurant in Brisbane, the Cliffs Café makes a great place for a weekend brunch, coffee and catch-up with friends or a chardonnay at sunset. I’ve stopped in after a rock climb on a Saturday morning(I literally climbed my way up there) and enjoyed a coffee and one of their ‘breaky wraps’ with bacon, scrambled eggs, bacon, spinach and BBQ sauce. The wrap itself was a pleasantly soft tortilla and the eggs were nice and fluffy. At $ 15.50, methinks part of the bill is the ‘pay-per-view’ fee, if you know what I mean… As I sat and wolfed it down I watched the fitness freaks running up and down the over-sized concrete steps at the nearby newly developed park(the café itself is also part of this fairly recent re-development) I reminded myself to go for a run later that day and burn off the extravagance of the fried parcel I was enjoying. You could say the views where inspiring in all directions.

This is another of my favourite cafes. Its far enough removed from the hustle and bustle of the city to be comfortable and relaxed yet its literally right at the city’s doorstep. Great coffee, great views, friendly service. This is a great casual spot to take friends from overseas or interstate. I love heading up here during the day to grab a coffee and some quiet time. And it is great coffee!
