Nando’s

I’ve learnt my lesson. I am never returning to Nandos Waterford.
Don’t get me wrong — i love Nandos, love the food, the prices, and usually the service. But every time i come to this particular Nandos they screw up my order.
Last time, ordered a burger and chips with a dipping sauce. When i got home — no dipping sauce. I know it’s only a couple of dollars — but if you pay for something you expect to get it.
Being takeaway, i was not going to drive all the way back to the store, so i complained online. The manager was quite nice, tried to call me, couldn’t get through so emailed me. Offered me a free chips to make up for the mistake. Really good customer service.
Now Waterford Nandos has had a makeover. It’s a lot brighter inside. Looks fantastic. I thought I’d give them another go. Ordered quarter chicken and chips takeaway. Was told it would be around 15 minutes.
Watching the staff work, i was impressed. They were fast, kept the orders rolling out.
Everyone waiting before me had their orders filled. It’s been 10 minutes. They start filling dine-​in orders that i know were after me. I’m not sure of their policy, but i understand that they may serve dine-​in faster than takeaway. No problem.
20 minutes, new customers come, order takeaway. 25 minutes, they are given their takeaway and leave. Huh?
The service manager notices me looking at him, looking at my watch. He comes out and asks what I’m waiting on. I give him my docket. He goes back in, gets a ready cooked quarter chicken, chips, puts it in a bag, gives it to me and says sorry for the wait.
When i get home, i’d ordered mild. Was given lemon and herb. Who knows how long it had been sorting there, was dry and tough.
So not only did they lose my order, they gave me the wrong product.
Thanks Nandos Waterford, never again.

Nando’s is fantastic and they specialise in all things chicken. Don’t be put off by thinking it will be too spicy, they tailor the level of heat to your needs and there is something for everyone! I had a chicken wrap and it was fresh and delicious!

Let me set the scene: My boyfriend and I ordered two burgers and fries half an hour before closing on a week night. There was a table of four dining in and they had finished their meals and one couple came in after us to place a take away order. The two boys behind the registers were leaning on the counter talking to each other for most of the time we were sitting there waiting.
Our order took half an hour and when we got home and opened the burgers they were appalling! The burgers were just thrown together without any care or thought, our abundance of lettuce was rotten and slimy on the ends and the chips only had flavouring on the top few. For somewhere that wasn’t busy and that had 5 people working that I could see, you’d expect a little more effort. I know most of the staff are probably uni students and they were dying to get home but that’s no excuse. We will never be returning!
