Now & Then Cafe

Popped in for breakfast and very glad we did! Huge portions of delicious food in beautiful surrounds. Can’t wait to return!

I normally really like this place but I quickly ran down on my lunch break today, dying for the fritter salad… and they forgot the pomegranate seeds. So disappointed! I really wanted to call and complain as a local business owner.

Popped in for a Friday afternoon glass of wine to find Now & Then successfully merges the line between café and wine bar.
Based on a place in the Hamptons apparently (very Kew), the décor is suitably very white, complete with picket fences, and comes off looking a little like a furniture catalogue without seeming tacky (although the TV above the counter/​bar puts that at risk). Clientele were mostly older couples, with a few families with well behaved kids.
Waitstaff were lovely. Whomever is in charge of ordering probably needs to lift their game a little though, seeing how I had to select four wines before finding one they actually had in stock, but the drops that we tried were fine selections.
The menu — like most places these days it seems — is American-​style eats, with burgers and so forth. We accompanied our drinks with what was a glorified plate of KFC popcorn chicken. Really nice, but a tiny serve for $ 16 or so. We’ll be back soon to try breakfast, which seems to be priced more competitively.

Great experience. Open spaces, loads of tables and color co-​ordinated with key themes. Immediately greeted and coffee order taken. Great menu and lovely slices and cakes on counter. Lots of choice and now offer high tea. Lovely food, although my side forgotten. Quickly rectified. Not sure how someone with mobility issues would easily get to the bathrooms. Friendly staff, efficient and attentive to customers. Will be back.
