Went here for Lunch with colleagues as they were already big fans and after squeezing my way down the tiny corridor after entering from the back, I was impressed with the little place. The place is clean, food is cheap and really yummy! What more do you want?!

This place probably makes the best lemongrass chicken in Adelaide, yummy, yummy, yummy. I haven’t tried the whole menu, but what I have tried has been pretty good. They mainly cater to the lunchtime trade, closing at 5pm at weekends, but at least they’re open till 7pm on weekdays. Quite often I’ll go in and have a serve of cold rolls & then follow it with a spicy beef noodle soup, & while the beef in the soup can sometimes be a bit fatty it’s worth it. Definitely recommended.

Located right in the heart of the culturally diverse location of Prospect Road lies an excellent alternative for lunch or dinner. Saigon Gate is a small Vietnamese restaurant that packs a lot of flavour(food pun intended). What it lacks in size it makes up for with amazingly delicious food. I strongly recommend either the fried pork ribs with rice or the popular tradition Vietnamese dish of Phở(beef noodle soup). What makes this place great is that you can get yourself a decent sized portion of food plus a drink for less than $ 20, and believe me, I would be willing to pay much more! Me and my family have been going to this place for years. Give it a shot if you want something different for a feed, for the price, you can’t really go wrong!

I’ve been here a few times now and yes the food is very nice and very affordable, I feel that other near(ish) by Vietnamese restaurants do it a bit better — check out Hanson road for the best. If you’re in the area thought, there are good options here — the vermicelli salads are good(not the best but solid) and the prices are pretty decent. Their combination rice dish was not as good as others I’ve had. Service could do with a little improvement — but I guess it’s the nature of the place. I had booked a table for 7 people, hoping they would set a table aside for the specific time however when we arrived, we were bunched up with some complete strangers, but like I said, I guess that’s just the style!

Have eaten here many times and it’s always busy — a testament to the great prices and large servings. The Phở and the Vietnamese salads keep me coming back. Cheap, cheerful, and a solid 4 stars.

I love this place. Cheap food and good quality/taste. Eaten here on numerous occasions. As good Phở as ive had in Adel. $ 10 for large which is enough. Another good option is to split a large soup between two and then order another main dish. Crispy bbq porkchop on rice is another fav, as well as Chicken tom yum soup. Rating: 4.5. Great informal dining/serving food better than most places in same category. Rated accordingly. Informal setting. Attracts a following from residents near by and probably those who have had friends recommended it to them. Place is always clean, service is good and they are happy to help. Plenty of parking behind the restaurant. I’ll be back.
