I haven’t got much to say about the King’s Park Tavern. It’s a pub, with average food and low prices like you find dozens of them west of Parramatta. Don’t get me wrong: I’m how good the food tastes and the vibe you get from a venue that is being cared for. Don’t care if it’s in Potts Point or next to the Rouse Hill wastewater treatment plant. But nothing about the KP tavern caught my eye. The lunch special is usually cheap and the menu extensive, there is a pokie room, a outdoor area, a fancier lounge, pool tables: nothing new under the Aussie sun. Go there for conveniency, a beer or to attend a function. Don’t forget though: a spoon of duck fat a day keeps the doctor away!

They have Budweiser! Which is a winner for me. I come here every Saturday after Muay Thai Kickboxing training for a few beers and lunch. They have a pretty extensive food menu which caters for all appetites and is reasonably priced. The food tastes pretty good too. Outside there’s a kids area that’s cordoned off with their own tv and equipment. Upstairs is a classy looking bar and lounge area, it’s quite light and new. There’s a seating area outside and another one around the back with pool tables. It has a small pokie room as well. Saturday afternoon they have a barbecue and usually it’s free, why wouldn’t you come here! I only give it four stars however as they haven’t changed their menu in about 2 years!
