Knoxfield Shops Playground

The playground behind the main strip of shops in Knoxfield, on Ferntree Gully Road, isn’t exactly a crowd pleaser. It features just two little wobble seats that are designed for young children.
There is grass surrounding the ‘playground’ and a tanbark square sits in the middle. This is where the two wobble seats are. There is a wooden bench supplied as well. Parents tend to sit here while their kids play.
Despite the small size of this public area, there is also a bin provided. I really like that this is here because the park is a lot cleaner than it was a few years ago without the bin.
It is next to a public tennis court and it has a path that cuts through to Janden Close — possibly only useful to residents of that street.
The playground isn’t that amazing but it can be good to watch a game of tennis if reasonably adept tennis players are using the neighbouring court. It’s also a nice quiet spot to enjoy an ice-​cream from the nearby Knoxfield shops on a sunny day.
