Benton Box carries it’s qualifications to to Launceston and I found this to be a good quick meal. I had my usual catsudon with plump rice, which was sticky but also dry. You can eat it at the Café styled seating or take it away in ‘the box’. I found it quick and friendly and the staff where friendly. Prices are average starting about 7 to 20 for a full blown meal.

As an old tassie local from way back I always find myself at bento when home visiting family and friends. If is well located in the Mortys complex and delivers reliable Japanese food for cheap.
Its maybe not up to par with mainland offerings, and I find their use of condiments a bit too heavy, but it does the trick.
Open 11 til late 7 days a week.
