A nice menu to choose from whilst passing tempted us in to La Cantina. Reception on entering was nice & we were seated promptly. Our meal order was taken in good time, I decided on the 4 corner pizza, my wife ordered Pollo a ducale. This is the point in which our visit took a downturn. Starters(garlic pizza bread) arrived quickly but unfortunately we were left waiting at least 30 minutes for our mains. We brought this to the attention of one of the staff & we were served within 5⁄6 minutes. My pizza was delicious & piping hot as you would expect. However the chicken arrived ready to eat insofar as the meal was warm but not piping hot as you would expect. My wife had requested that olives not be served with the meal but she found one. She said the food was delicious but needed to be served hot and not warm to enjoy completely. Mind you, she didn’t leave anything behind(except the olive). We did not lodge a complaint as the meal was delicious but when asked we informed the staff of our disappointment. We visited on a busy Friday evening so the delay in service whilst being poor could be understood as the place was hopping. 3 stars for the food, stars lost due to the slow service.

Wonderful meals there tonight. We both had short pasta dishes. Excellent value for the money

A nice family owned and run restaurant. The staff are very friendly and it has a good range of Italian food, being predominantly pizza’s and pastas. They also do a very yummy selection of desserts. No need to book(for 1 or 2), as you can normally always walk in and grab a table. Only a 2 minute walk from where I stay when in Tassie makes it quite convenient.
