The muffins are all made daily by the owner, and it really shows. They are superb. Savoury and sweet options are available, but they do sell out quickly so if you have a craving for a particular flavour you might want to get in early. While the general selection of food isn’t huge, it is simple and it is decent quality, and there is a surprising range for gluten-free eaters. The Muffin Café is also listed on the Coeliac Australia site as extra reassurance. What really sets the place apart is that half of the café is dedicated to scrapbooking supplies — they stock an amazing range of different paper stocks in varying designs and weights. They also carry stamps, stencils, stickers, and all sorts of other stationery and scrapbooking items.

This is the best, muffins made on site with so much nan power. It really is a nice spot for a really simple lunch or grab and go treat. Now if they could only make a good coffee… But hey, it’s not the coffee kitchen!

Good toasted sandwiches, muffins, and milkshakes. A bit hard to find if you aren’t familiar with the city of Launceston, but still a good place to eat.

Simply Delicious. The Muffin Kitchen has been around for a very long time and it’s pretty clear why. They do a mean muffin, both savory and sweet. The muffin with custard centre was my childhood favorite. Family friendly, but not offensive to those who are doing adult-only or solo dining. Nicely tucked away from the main shopping precinct, this is a lovely place to recharge for lunch during a hectic work day or shopping outing. After sampling one in-house, you will be wanting to take one(or two) muffins home too.
